What if there’s a food chart…..

That involves eating real whole foods, That actually contains foods that you can grow in your backyard and harvest, That do not require unnecessary processing like removing wholesome fats and replacing with nutrient-deficient starches, That involves eating real food that is naturally delicious and not feel guilty about it, That is nutrient dense and do not require you to take artificial supplements, That do not require you to throw away egg yolks or whites and do not require excessive packaging and waste, That involves eating foods that our ancestors have been eating for thousands of years, That is not funded by various companies and organisations with vested interests, That is actually good for health and keeps metabolic diseases like diabetes at bay?

There is and I was fortunate in 2016 to chance upon and first behold it in this article “You CAN eat to beat diabetes - so why isn't the NHS telling you how? The man behind the revolutionary 5:2 diet reveals exactly what should be on YOUR plate “ by Dr Michael Mosley

Ever since then, my patients and I have been using this food chart consistently with significant and often amazing improvements to metabolic health and well-being. The word “consistently” is paramount since there’s many diets around that can also show amazing results initially but are notoriously difficult to follow for the long term.

Ultimately, eat a whole foods minimally processed omnivorous diet that includes fresh meat, whole eggs, full fat dairy, vegetables, nuts, seeds, some whole fruits and controlled portions of whole grains(if desired). It will naturally be lower in carbs, higher in natural good fats, and rich in essential protein and contain all the vitamins and minerals the human body needs. Most of us will not need any artificial supplements eating like this. And we will also keep diabetes and other metabolic diseases at bay.
